Proof that Ted Heath lied to us in 1972

I thought it might be a very good idea to put up a page providing the incontrovertible proof that we the people of he United Kindgom were systematically lied to from day one at every oportunity in the matter of the true purpose of the European Union, or, to give it the name which was used to con us to join, the European Economic Community.

We all know, of course, that the 1957 Treaty of Rome bound its signatories, through their plenipotentiaries, to 2ever closer political union". I mean, we know this because any fool can fire up a google search and pull the treaty and see for themselves the writing there in the preambe in the first couple of pages.

Except that's not quite the case, and many PRO-Europeans will try to explain this away by the following little wheeze. You see, the European Union is a bit like the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's 1984, with millions of Winston Smiths all beavering away to make sure that Big Brother's dayorder is never doubleplus ungood through its references to nonpersons or nonthings or nonfacts.

Yes, part of your taxes ensure that every tine the European Union opens its mouth, an army of oompa-loompas goes to work revising history, "consolidating" the recent amendments into the previous agreements and treaties, rewriting history, ensuring that "we have always been at war with Eurasia".

As a result, a cursory search for the "Treaty of Rome" will bring you up a document that says it's the Treaty of Rome, but it says also that it founds the "European Union". It says this because it has been "consolidated" a european union buzzword used to hide the fact that an oompa-loompa has come alonmg and rewritten the whole thing to include the modifications of the Maastricht and Lisbon treaties. This is obvious because in 1957 there was no European Union, so how can a treaty from that era make reference to it. It cannot, of course.

So what we need to do is find a copy of the ORIGINAL 1957 Treaty of Rome and see if IT has the words that condemn the liars buggers and thieves who say we were not lied to by Ted Heath.

Two years ago I found the very document. Ir was available in the orignal languages of the six founding countries of the Common Market as we were told it was, and no other. But my knowledge of French is quite sufficient to see the preamble IN 1957 said His Majesty The King Of The Belgians Blah Blah etc etc were DETERMINED TO LAY THE FOUNDATIONS FOR EVER CLOSER POLITICAL UNION.

Today, thanks to a rearrangement of the european parliament website, I hae stumbed across an English Translation of that 1957 treaty. It is 17.5MB in size, and it is a TIFF format file. You will have to download it and open it in an image viewer. There are plenty around. On or around pageten you will see the words I capitalise above, in the 1957 document preamble, clear for all to see.

So, when Ted Heath came away from his negoatations and took us into the "Common Market" on the 1st January 1973, he already knew the sumit held three months earlier was delivering the promise made in 1957 to bring about ever closer political union
